Koibito & Relationships

Learn how Koibito relationships work, how players compete for them, and the benefits of becoming a character's Koibito.

✦ 01・WHAT IS KOIBITO?

Koibito is a special relationship status earned through Karuta's affection and proposal system.

• Koibito belongs to the character, not an individual card.
• Only one player can hold a character's Koibito position at a time.
• Becoming Koibito grants visit access to cards of that character, even if you weren't their original grabber.

◈ 02・COMPETING FOR KOIBITO

Multiple players can pursue the same character, making Koibito a competitive relationship.

• Players build their own Affection Rating (AR) with the character.
• Players compete for the Koibito position through proposals.
• Other players may challenge the current Koibito, so the position isn't necessarily permanent.

You can check the current Koibito and other players' AR and AP through the character leaderboard.

⌖ 03・KOIBITO BENEFITS & MANAGEMENT

Being a character's Koibito provides additional relationship privileges.

• Visit Access: Interact with cards of that character regardless of their original grabber.
• Special Interactions: Access Koibito-related features through the visit system.
• Relationship Management: Monitor your relationship and competition through affection information and leaderboards.
